CA Foundation in 4 Months — A Realistic Strategy

4 June 20268 min read

A subject-wise 4-month plan for CA Foundation covering Accounts, Law, Maths and Economics with weekly targets.

Most first-attempt Foundation students lose marks not because the syllabus is hard but because the last month becomes a panic-driven scramble. A realistic 4-month plan front-loads conceptual subjects and back-loads revision.

Month 1: Finish Principles & Practice of Accounting chapters 1–8 and Business Laws units 1–3. Target 4 study hours a day, 6 days a week.

Month 2: Complete the remaining Accounts chapters, all of Business Mathematics, LR & Statistics, and finish Law. End the month with a full mock of Paper 1.

Month 3: Wrap Business Economics and Business & Commercial Knowledge. Start rotational revision — one paper a day, two hours each.

Month 4: Only revision + mocks. Alternate a mock day with an analysis day. Track paper-wise accuracy in MyCAPlanner's test analytics to spot weak chapters early.
